Brian Heim is a programmer and digital media artist with a background in acoustic and electronic composition. His works have been performed at festivals in the U.S. and Europe, and he also occasionally performs as a solo electronic music improviser. His interests include programming language theory, compilers, computer music, and creative coding. In his spare time he serves as one of the lead developers on the SuperCollider project, a programming language and audio engine for electronic music. He holds degrees in music composition from UT-Austin and the Yale School of Music, and will graduate this spring from the M.S. in Computer Science program at Yale University. This summer, he will start as a Junior Software Developer at DRW Holdings' Chicago office.
